The upper part of the player settings dialog contains of:
- Name
- Tools menu (see below)
- Screenshot
An image showing the currently playing content on the player. Note that this is not a live video, but a screenshot that can be updated on request by hovering over it and click the Refresh button.
If a player is currently not attached to a physical device, is down, or has some problem that makes it not able to get a screenshot, the image will instead show "No screenshot available". - Content
Displays what playlist, layout or circuit is currently in use on the player. - License
Displays the current license applied on the player. If the player is "Unlicensed" it will show a watermark as well as a trial scene. - Hardware
A physical device. When the player is attached to a hardware, it will generally show the devices host name. If it's not currently attached, it will show "Not attached". - Total status
More information about the underlying services in a player. The playback and screen services as well as background services may be monitored. - Timeline
An automatically updating list of events on the player. - Edit
Click the Edit button to change the player name, description and content.
A player has more advanced settings. To access these settings click the Tools button in the top right of your selected player.
Now you will see this menu.

Here you have the settings tab, this is where you can fine tune your player. - Edit
Let's you change name and content on the player etc. - Permissions
Setup permissions for this player. - Preview
Preview the content currently active on the player - Power
Let's you "Reload" and "Reboot" the player. The difference between these two is that "Reload" restarts the player and "Restart" restarts the entire screen/computer. - Installer
Download a player specific installer that is already connected to the player in Portal.
Settings
After clicking the settings button in the previous menu you will see this tab.
- Advanced
Here you have the Advanced settings tab, this is where you can fine tune your player. - Audio
Mute or change the volume of the player. - Discovery code
Change discovery code for the player, this is useful if the old player broke and you need to connect the new one to Portal.
Reset player / get new discovery code (Premium)
Reset player / get new discovery code (Lite) - Download Proxy
Setup a proxy for your player - Download Schedule
Select when you want your player to download new content - Screen
Setup screen control and screen scheduling. Read more about this here: Screen scheduling - Time zone
Select a timezone for your player, this will effect clocks etc. on the Lite player. - New Setting

Advanced settings
- Resolution
Pick a predefined resolution for your player (in most cases this should never be changed since it is done automatically) - Software package
Send out automatic software updates to Premium players. - Hardware
Edit the hardware attached to your player. - License
Detach or apply a license to the player. - Monitor status
Here you can ignore the status of the player, meaning it wont turn red or green if it is working or not.
